Comfort Suites Near Texas State University

The elevator and hall and room smelled bad I had to spray my perfume.. Room 210 the bath tub was rusty and the caulking needed to be redone. The bed sheets were very wrinkled like someone had slept in it. It was bad. I called the front desk many times at 10:30 pm and no one answered the phone I have never stayed in a room this bad before. It was not worth $117 maybe a$45 room. I have a Airbnb that I rent and I would never rent it if it was bad as that room I am very disappointed with my stay with comfort suites. Though it was a great location for what I needed. And the staff was friendly

First things first, the staff was amazing - very helpful and friendly! I booked two rooms well in advance, and when we got there not only could we not get adjoining rooms, we were on one floor and our teenage daughter was two floors up - really not ideal for a lot of reasons. Our refrigerator didn't work (it was actually hot inside), the bathroom fan was as loud as a jet engine, and when my husband sat on the sofa he said it smelled like a dirty diaper.

This hotel is very poorly maintained. It is in no way Comfort Suites standards. It is actually more in the li e of EconoLodge and even most of those are nicer. Would not recommend and would not stay again.

It's a dark and gloomy hotel. The lighting in all common areas was inadequate. The room I had was far too small to have a queen size bed which was jammed against a wall making it possible to enter from only one side. It was obvious this room was designed for only a full size bed. Also there were two burned out bulbs in the lamps. On a positive note; however, the TV, A/C, microwave, fridge, and bath were all workng. Finally, the parking at the hotel was a bit of a challenge. It seems that the hotel was jammed into a space that was not adequate. I will continue to stay at Choice Hotels in the future as they are reasonably priced and generally comfortable. This hotel is somewhat of an exception

Thìs hotel is in desperate need of maintenance and repairs. When we first walked up, we noticed that the outside covers on the a/c units were all broken. In the dining area of the lobby, there was water leaking from the ceiling. There was a good sized wet spot on the floor, which was a safety hazard. The television in our room didn't work very well. In our bathroom, the toilet was very badly broken at the bottom and the sink had a cràck all across it. I didn't notice any leaks, but it looked dirty. It made me think that they didn't want to pay an̈y monèy for upkeep and maintenance.
