Comfort Suites at Isle of Palms Connector

Unfortunately we did not have hot water in our room. We brought this to managements attention several times in which they stated someone would be coming to fix the situation (no one ever came). They finally switched our room on the last night. The rooms need to be updated, the pool is not being serviced , it’s over grown with weeds and the customer service is poor at best. Not a quality stay

Almost didn't stay here after reading a few bad reviews but glad we did. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable, even grandaughter's sofa bed. Front desk staff were polite, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. Location was quiet. Restaurant / bar next door was convenient and had great food. Will definitely stay here again next trip.

The hotel itself was fine and the staff was competent. However, there was a mandatory $4.87/night hotel service fee charged at check-in that was not included in the prepaid total, even though the confirmation email stated that taxes and fees were included. When I asked about it, I was told the fee was mentioned in fine print. Their nightly rate may appear cheap, but be aware of the extra fees. This definitely left a bad taste.

Now that I have your attention this was my first visit here. Some reviews of the hotel said it was recently renovated. I saw no evidence of that unless you count the hallways seemed to have fresh paint. Lots of wear and tear with furniture and some beat up doors and other hardware. With the negatives said here’s some good news. Motel was clean, quiet, and staff friendly. Location is great as shopping, coffee shops, and restaurants are nearby. You can walk about 50 feet to a “sports bar” beside the motel that had a variety of good food. Yes, I would stay there again.

I’m a frequent visitor to the area for work. The front desk staff are always so personable, friendly, helpful, considerate, and make my stay’s as pleasant as possible. They even take into consideration my work schedule and try to put me in a room on a quieter floor if at all possible. Breakfast is always warm and fresh and the dining staff are always there greeting me with a smile and good morning.
