Comfort Inn South Padre Island Central

This Comfort Inn was good enough for us to stay in. Everything was full. Room was comfortable, clean. The walk-in shower leaked water all over the floor. We had plenty of towels so it was ok. This location does not have an elevator.

Positive: The hotel was close to everything. Negative: The hotel needs cleaning inside the rooms and hallways. Carpet smells of animal urine. The hotel needs to be updated and renovations are needed. There was a hole in the bathroom that we had. Had to be moved due to plumbing issues.

The hotel was very clean, and all the employees were extremely nice and helpful while maintaining professional demeanors. Two specific employees that I want to give accolades to are Leyda(evening Front Desk Manager), and Danilo(day Front Desk Manager). At check in, Leyda was extremely helpful, identifying places to eat, and tourist attractions that we should see, as well as beach locations close to the hotel. Every evening when we came back to the hotel, she asked how our day was what had we done. She seemed as excited as we were about what we had done during the day. It gave our stay a much more personal feeling then you receive at most hotels. Danilo was also great. Just to recap, on waking up our first morning, the island had no electric power. It was a disaster I came to seee the room and me and my wife didn’t like I called since the lady had a new born baby with her I didn’t want to upset her so I politely called and asked for a refund in the night they declined said they couldn’t even tho we just sat down she want and left a note we sat on the beds and I’m being denied a refund for not even staying there more than 15 minutes!!!! Do not stay here over priced for a small dirty room with foul odor, no jacuzzi no elevator It’s ridiculous and denying me a refund on my birthday and I asked kindly !! Drove al the way from Houston never again will be making more reviews on more platforms as well !!

Great experience, incredible price for the weekend, clean room, amazing customer service. Elevator was down do to remodel but did not affect us walking to the 2nd floor. Would highly recommend for the price, and withing walking distance to the beach! Thanks Comfort Inn
