I have stayed at this location quite a few times. The truth is hands down this place is run with friendliness and gives you everything you need in a room. The early morning breakfast is great. The lady Yvonne in the breakfast area is amazing working nonstop to refill everything from beagles to eggs. The staff has a slogan "The friendliest Hotel In Rutland". I have to say they live up to that 100%. The front desk people are great as well. You can't go wrong here. I hope to stay here for many years to come.

Good value. Good location. Check in staff very friendly and helpful. Clean, pleasant room. My only complaint, and it’s significant (to me anyway) is the mattress in my room (101) was terrible. So hard and uncomfortable. I ended up folding the quilt/duvet and lying on that. I would have said something at checkout but nobody was at the desk.

Rooms were dirty, very run down. Toilet was clogged, dirt (wood shavings?) in bath tub. Hallways and elevators dirty. Staff nice. Breakfast fine. Price was high. Not worth the stay.

Overall good experience with some drawbacks. The biggest issue was the room smell. Pretty musty and smoky smelling, even though it was a non-smoking room. Beds were fine and bathroom was clean. If you’re not on the top floor you will have to hope you don’t have someone loud above you. Breakfast was pretty good, though there was a large group there one of the days and the wait was pretty long and messy, maybe because of the waffle machines. Free hot/cold water in the common areas was also nice. Great proximity to Killington, which is likely the main reason people stay here.

Really courteous staff everywhere from the check-in to the breakfast. The hotel is showing it's age. The mirror frame in the bathroom was bubbled up, the finish all coming off. The carpets, especially in the stairwells, was worn and well overdue for replacement. The buffet line for breakfast is awkward because the waffle makers are both tucked in a tight corner. The other spaces are also crammed given the size of the hotel. There was no decor on the walls like other hotels have such as signs or pictorials "Good Morning", or pictures of foods like eggs, sausage, etc. The maintenance is lagging. In the breakfast room the blinds had been replaced at some point but no one bothered to take the original vertical blind canopies down from the windows so it looked awkward. The tables in pa
