Comfort Inn Rockford near Casino District

No internet my kids couldn't watch Mrs Rachel or coco melon or the kid shows they watch. Pool out of service. Had to find outside entertainment to calm them. Where as other hotels had these amenities for my kids when I travel with them. Other comfort in does not this one. This place is not like the others

Positive: The location and price Negative: The breakfast juice bar was filthy with floating bugs in juice should've been clean and drained. The eggs had water just sitting in the steamer from not being mixed right. The milk was sour.And the guy sitting behind front desk blew his nose with his hand

So upon check in I just gave my name. Was not asked for any kind of ID to verify who I was. I could have been anyone getting a room key and going into someone else’s room. I agree with the other reviews, it’s old. My room smells like old, stale smoke. There a sharp crack in the tile of the bathroom. The water pressure is awful. The breakfast was fine for me I just get cereal. It doesn’t feel or seem clean here overall. I wouldn’t stay again.

This is the saga of the thermostat and the mattress. The room was only 60 deg when we got there. We had to set the thermostat to 77 to get it to heat the room up to 74. Then, several hours later, I realized COLD air was coming from the heater. I went to check the thermostat, and *it had changed the temperature setting* to 68. To be perfectly clear: *we* did *not* change the thermostat settings. The bed was so hard that I woke up in the middle of the night with back pain. The room was *cold*. I checked the thermostat, which had again set itself to 68, and the room temp was only 65! I changed the thermostat to 77, figuring the room might get to 74 if I was lucky. I was not lucky. When I woke up a few hours later, the thermostat had done its worst to cause me pain. Yeah, pain. Medical issu

No heat in the room when temps were down to around 9 degrees.went down to the desk to let the desk know. Rang the desk bell for 10 minutes with zero response. Missing smoke detector. It appeared as if someone ripped it down. The walls in the bathroom were pealing paint. The halls smelled like smoke. The bed was hard as a rock. Every time I moved it squeezed like it was going to fall apart. Worst hotel visit in any hotel in over 30 years. I want a full refund
