Comfort Inn Redding Near I-5

Will not ever stay here again. The staff well lady was inattentive( on her cell phone). The room smelled horrible. No towels were available. I woke up early to request for clean towels, thinking maybe because we checked in late is the reason no towels were available but I was wrong. The mini fridge didn’t work. The freezer was full of ice so it didn’t work. The TV barely worked with most stations saying audio only. It was a horrible experience overall. I should have slept in my car for better experience and saved $100

Room 309, while large, was extremely dirty. The bathtub had extreme mold over th e silicone sealant and there was no plunger in the tub - just a dark grungy hole. The couch was badly stained - we had to put towels down in order to use it. Electrical plug by the sink was broken (reset button broken) - no heat in bathroom; icemaker in hallway broken. Carpet not vacuumed. The bed was clean and fresh. If it had not been so late and being very tired, we did not ask to be moved or a refund. We have stayed at Choice properties for many years but this was the worst ever.

Positive: The bed was excellent and the size of the room was great. Negative: The hotel was old and needed some updating. The carpets were not very nice and just a lot of little things where in need of fixing. They do not pay attention to the little things like only one cart for your luggage and only one wash cloth in the room.

I would not stay here again. The staff were not bad, I'm sure they were doing the best they could with what they had. The neighborhood was not very safe, but it was good proximity to the I-5 and to food options. There were a lot of questionable people hanging around in the hotel and in the parking lot. The elevator would not take you to the 2nd floor, only the 1st and 3rd. The stairwell was not locked or secured, so people were just in and out. At 1:30am, I heard a staff member yelling at someone outside to leave the property. The room was not great. The carpet was gross, only one bed was somewhat comfortable, the tv was mounted in a very weird and somewhat inconvenient place, the bathtub faucet was leaky and the shower head was mounted super low. The balcony door was essentially non-func

Even though this hotel was dated the room was large and comfortable. Check in was easy and the front desk person was very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The sheets were worn, but the bed was nice and we had a good nights sleep. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are passing through Redding.
