Comfort Inn Birmingham Homewood

The rooms are always clean and quiet. The staff are courteous and extremely helpful. The breakfast is well presented and the breakfast room is cleaned continually. This was the first opportunity to bring our dog along with us and she was welcomed as well. Great time.

This hotel has been freshly remodeled, clean,with a good price. Very close to I 65. The owners and staff ate very friendly and accommodating. The only issue that I experienced was that you can hear everything happening in the hallway, doors slamming and vacuuming. The other customers weren't rowdy and I didn't have an issue hearing others or tv's, only hallway activities. Overall, great place for the price

My two-night stay at the Comfort Inn-Homewood was pleasant from beginning to end. I checked in just before a large inter-generational crowd and expected to hear a lot of noise during the night, but my 4th floor room was totally quiet both nights. The bed and sitting chairs were very comfortable, and the tub shower had plenty of hot water after about a minute's wait for it to warm up. The vending machines in the lobby and on each floor are well stocked and actually work (cash only). The breakfast buffet is well-rounded (includes eggs and sausage), but butter was not available for waffles or toast the days I was there - a disturbing omission. Hotel staff were helpful and courteous. This is a well-maintained hotel with daily room service, one of the cleanest I've stayed at. It's a good value

We paid for two nights at this hotel when my mom had surgery to remove her gallbladder. Surgery was preformed as an outpatient at UAB Highlands Hospital. After surgery we headed back to our hotel to rest and recover. When we arrived back at the hotel my key card would not open the back entrance lock. No worries as there was an employee coming out and we went in. We made it to our room on the 3rd floor and again was denied access when I used my key card. There was an employee cleaning the room next door so I asked if he could open our door so my mom, who just had surgery maybe 3 hours prior, could set on the bed or in the chair. Mind you she is almost 80 years old. He told me no, I would have to go down stairs and have the front reactivate our key cards. We continued to argue, I had paid fo

I enjoyed my stay, the room was nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. However, the reason that I gave a nine was because the shower had no hot water at all!! I let it run for 10 minutes or more, I turned the handle to the left, to the right, and to the middle, and let the water run each time for 3 minutes or more, and still no hot water. I enjoy my showers in the morning, and I had to wash up in the sink. I checked out early, and there was no one at the desk for me to mention the problem to. I should get some extra points!!!
