Cocoa Motel

This was a surprising and pleasant find. The room was super clean. The air was pumping cold, the attendants and staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The pool was a stand-out. My family felt safe and the prices were unbelievable for the proximity to everything Hershey. I almost did not want to write this review to keep this gem to myself. LOL. But it was indeed one of the best stays in Hershey we have had!!

Small motel, only has 13 rooms total. Appears to be family run. Service was good. Room was relatively clean, but had that classic motel room smell upon entering. Beds were on the firm side, but not too bad. Room has flat screen TV with cable set-up. Price was $69 + tax per night. Only needed the room for the night to sleep. Only real opportunity was that the A/C unit did struggle to cool the room, as the temperature was around 95 degrees outside. But overall, not too bad considering the price.

The short story, if you are trying to pay very little to stay near Hershey, this is the place. They were less than a mile away from Hershey, back roads meant less traffic to get into the park, the motel was old, had lots of wood paneling, and smelled a little musty, but tolerable especially if you go down the street and get an air freshener.||Bathroom: Strong Odor smelled like someone was smoking in there and the odor was permanently attached to the towel curtains. Would be better with something plastic and disposable. The light fixture worked, but looked like it had been through quite a battle and is in need of replacement. I am surprised that the tile floor in the bathroom was new, and everything was extremely clean including the shower curtain.||Main Room:||Paneling was OK, just lots o

Well, it could have been worse. It was a quiet and clean place to spend the night. It's a family owned place, they were already home when we arrived at 8pm and came back to check us in. The hotel has not been updated since it was built in the 1970s - still uses metal keys, walls still have wood paneling, the fluorescent lights in the bathroom were the old-school kind. Beds were comfortable enough, though we had booked a king and ended up accepting two queens because that's what they had available. The hot water ran out in the shower after just a few minutes, but the water pressure was very strong. The room was clean (though trash cans outside were overflowing), but just so run-down, outdated, and dilapidated, with questionable service, that I wouldn't stay here again.

My family and I were in Hershey this past weekend and booked two rooms at the Cocoa Motel. Prices were cheap, but the stay was definitely not worth it. When we first arrived to drop our bags off, we walked in our rooms and found they were very dark and musty. The room right next door to my parent's room had a towel under the door and it looked like a mold stain on the outside. There was a strong odor in both rooms that made it unbearable to sit inside for too long. There was a hole in a screen in the one room, so we were not able to even keep the windows open to air it out. Bugs were flying around everywhere in the rooms.
