Club Wyndham Newport Onshore

Not all Wyndham’s are created equal. The view and location was spectacular. This was my first time visiting Newport. They were doing construction which was kind of a buzz kill but when you get here that should be over for you to enjoy. Even if they were doing construction indefinitely, I would definitely return. The staff was kind and knowledgeable, the view was great, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Much better than my last Wyndam experience in a different state.

This was our second time staying at Club Wyndham Onshore. The units are very large with a nice balcony and a smaller one on the back side. One bedroom has a large bathroom with a large tub which we never used. Would prefer a shower with glass door. There is a shower in the second bathroom off the kitchen. We were pleased with the location of our unit. Prefect for sunset!

Positive: "" Negative: We show up at the hotel for our tonight. Stay with another family. We were told when we got there that we had been bumped and we no longer had a reservation. We had no notice. They said that?s what happens when you book a timeshare hotel. Never again.

Great location, excellent service, and good-sized rooms. We got a 2-bedroom suite with a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Had a problem with water leaking from the AC the first night, but they moved us to a different room the next day. Great service overall from all the employees. Good location that is walking distance to most restaurants and shops. The pool area is nice with lots of kids. Too many kids jumping, diving, and splashing. I hope no one gets hurt. You have to reserve a spot at the pool in the morning as there are limited chairs. Lots of BBQ grills for everyone. You get only one parking spot per room, 2 would be nice. There is an arcade for the kids and free coffee in the lobby in the morning. Overall, I would recommend this place.

Club Wyndham Onshore was disappointing. The room did not feel clean; carpets visibly dirty and worn, and dated furniture. Our room had a mouse that was not very shy and we saw it multiple times while waiting for the front desk to get back to us. We had to go down to the lobby to get it resolved. Management initially said they could not move us and would just place a trap in our room…. They eventually found a room and moved us to a different floor. We were not given any other comps for this inconvenience late at night. The lower floors are closer to the rowdy bar on the ground floor. If you have kids or are planning on going to bed early, the 3rd floor is very noisy. Someone in the bar also accidentally pulled the fire alarm and we had to evacuate the hotel. Overall just a messy, poorly run
