Club Wyndham Inn on the Harbor

I love staying here whoever we in Newport. They always pit us with the view of the ocean. Sunset is beautiful! We can cook although is half kitchen. Very close to shopping and restaurants. Lot of water activities nearby.

Never again! I booked two rooms online at a very fair rate for Newport in the summer. The online rate that I booked, (and saved a screenshot of my confirmation page) is not the rate I was charged at checkout. When I returned home and realized the massive difference, I contacted the front desk manager who agreed with my complaint and told me to file a dispute with my credit card company, and she assured me the dispute would come to her desk where she would immediately approve the refund. Well after many months of back and forth, none of that happened and I got stuck with a much higher rate than this very out of the way hotel was worth! Do yourself a favor and don’t trust this place!

We have stayed at this location in the past and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and the view of the harbor was to die for. I only wish the kitchen area was a bit bigger, but we made the best of it.

DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY. NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES. Feels like a Motel 6. From the parking lot to the room, NOTHING is maintained on this property. This is THE WORST WYNDHAM PROPERTY we have ever been to. The room was so dirty that I spent $50 having Walmart deliver cleaning supplies so I could clean the room myself. Instead of taking a nap after we checked in, I spent my first moments stripping the bed, washing the linens, and making a delivery order. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR POINTS!!! The ONLY positive thing is the location. It’s in the heart of Newport walking distance to everything. But the uncleanliness and the layout of our room made it an unpleasant stay. If this property was updated PROPERLY, it could be nice.

Positive: Room was nice and the staff was pleasant. Negative: No working elevators- they were down and it was very inconvenient. Restaurant management was nothing but rude and so disrespectful! When looking for a manager, there were non to be found, for several hours.
