Clarion Inn & Suites Evansville Eastland Area

I am giving a five star review based on the service, comfort and ease of booking. Grace was so kind to me and such a joy to be served by. She wears multiple hats and keeps a smile on her face at all times. She truly needs a raise. When I had to check out early, a different front desk lady that helped me was so empathetic and professional. When it came to the room, It was very clean. The only downside was the Wi-Fi buffering often.

Inside the room smelled like body odor/ sweat upon first entry. Bedding or the comforter likely wasn’t changed, zero fresh smell on any linens including towels. Chair looked old and run down with paint on it (I’m assuming that’s what it is). Bathroom was basic but seemed okay clean. Bed wasn’t super comfortable but not bad. Overall a good thorough change of bedding would make it better and perhaps shampoo carpets. Wish the inside of rooms matched the lobby area.

Staff at check in and check out were not friendly. Seemed me being there annoyed them. Refused to help with choice rewards. Closet door did. Not close. Room door would not close on its own. Hotel had a generally gloomy feel. Beds were comfortable but blankets were not. |Not a great visit.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The rooms are a little older and ‘used’ more than the photos make them look, but they’re very clean. The plumbing is old so watch those toilets. They just flush slow and it’s kinda scary. The staff were so friendly and quick! You can tell they care about their jobs. I can’t describe how adorable the young woman was at the desk when we checked in. She was so sweet and made sure we were getting the best deal on our rooms as we were making an emergency stop because of bad weather. She went above and beyond and our family is forever grateful. To be in such a large city, the staff here made us feel like we were in their home. Thank you!

Staff was friendly, hotel was overall fine. However I could tell that whoever was in my room before me was a heavy smoker. I know the sheets were fresh but the bed itself reeked of smoke still.
