Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina

The hotel/resort was beautiful and in great location. We didn't have any heat in the room, so it was FREEZING - it seemed to be the problem to many of the room, but they did rectify it with a space heater. The shower pressure wasn't great, but the overall resort was beautiful, clean and good service.

Rooms are in need of repair and updating. 1st room (403) no air conditioning. 2nd room air conditioning didn't work either. 2nd morning we had maintenance in there for repairs. Come to find out the chiller that provided cold water for the entire system was offline. No AC for who knows how many rooms. Shower diverter broken (lucky to find warm water), sink faucet falling off, soap dispenser pulled from the wall and never replaced, no shampoo, conditioner or body wash in the shower, toilet seat falling off, hole in the balcony sliding screen door, antiquated tv. Requested to check out 1 day early due to the circumstances and was told I would still be responsible for the 3rd day. No compensation offered. This was not an isolated incident. Fantastic get away retreat. Perfect for thr whole family. Even on the colder days it's nice to be here. Terrell at the main check in was wonderful to work with. He went out of his way to make us feel at home. Rooms are huge! The accommodations here are perfect.

I cannot recommend staying AWAY from booking at the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina enough. The only saving point in the hotel was the location, but everything else was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. We had contacted the hotel to book over the phone after having loss a family member that same day. We literally packed as soon as we got home, got in the car without a destination in mind, and made the booking on the road. I had spoken to Andrew and explained that I needed help because of this and that I was not in the right mindset to do it myself and asked how much it’d be, total. I visited my friends who are staying here and I have to say they have amazing views.Their rooms are spectacular.Everything was clean.My friends say that the bed was super comfortable. The area is safe and fantastic. A group of us which was ten of us because they had six different rooms rented at this hotel went to blum coffee and wine bar at night.For their amazing bar specials for wine, craft beer's ipas, which we all love and we certainly were not disappointed. we heard their coffee was pretty good.But we did go during the evening. The hotel smells amazing inside and we would all definitely come back here.And my friends would definitely stay again. 10 stars
