What a nice spot, so cozy and quiet! I like the serenity of the East End. And it is only a few minutes bike ride to downtown. They have a private beach with the sun deck and picnic tables. I've stayed here before, and the hosts are always so warm and welcoming! I was lucky to get a room with the ocean view this time. Would love to come back soon!

Clean, quiet, lovely, great deck, excellent hostess/manager Colleen, plenty Keurig coffee, spring water, fridge space, many bathrooms, beautiful gardens, fabulous deck furniture/umbrellas, very easy living. Convenient parking, near to small grocery stores and restaurants. East end is just wonderful. And swimming in/ viewing the bay is quite special. Very pleasant and considerate other guests. Peaceful

This was a great find, so I hesitate to let everyone know about it. I got a room fairly last minute for 4 nights. Clean, light, quiet. Shared bathrooms down the hall. Private beach access. Outdoor shower. A bit far from the center of things, but a bike would help. Lovely flowers out front & back. There was a shared fridge, microwave, and mini ice maker. Lots of towels. Warm & friendly staff and owner. I’ll be back. Don’t tell anyone else about it!

My family has gone to the Cape Codder for 70 years. It hasn't changed much, and for us that is the greatest thing about it. It's not fancy, it's not new, it's real. It brings to mind the old Provincetown, which was once a whaling, then fishing port, then the artists and writers came. Layers and layers of people. The Portuguese families that have lived there for generations are the real stewards of the history, so much of which happened around them, hosted by their solid work, as art always is. Art needs grounding. And a vacation always depends on the host. I love how the Cape Codder is run- you have everything you need there- clean simple rooms, peace and quiet, the bay and beach across the street, an easy walk to town. It's delightful.

The Cape Codder Guesthouse captures so much of essential, precious and peaceful Cape Cod. From its centuries of local history and the Mayo family who still own it, the gorgeous gardens of dahlias lovingly cultivated by the owner, to the simple but immaculate and beloved interior now updated for contemporary needs including work by local artists and books to borrow, to the quiet and serene East End setting with absolutely stunning bayside beach access, swimming and views from the waterside deck across the street, replete with comfortable chaise lounges, umbrellas and picnic tables, this is a place where we have come for decades to restore and renew, reading and contemplating, timing ourselves according to the tides whether we explore the flats and ever changing light and views of the sky,
