Candlewood Suites Charlotte - Arrowood by IHG

This hotel is low rate period at least for me and mines. It smelled like weed and bad decisions, first you walk in and folks are in the lobby gaming on the computers, yeah I know too late for second thoughts. My preference states no bottom floor, not close to elevators, doors and ice makers for obvious reasons. It’s noisy! I got a bottom floor room and the people above me stayed up all night. Humm. Well needless to say we left at 3am.

My family of 4 stayed for four nights and was very comfortable. Hotel room felt like home with the full fridge, stove top, and microwave. The beds were comfortable and love that the room has two tv's. The front desk staff always greeted us with a smile. Janet and Tameeka especially we're extremely helpful. The small negatives we did notice was that the tub made a noise when stepping on it and that we can hear talking easily from the next room while in the bathroom. Our stay was so quiet and comfortable that these small negatives would not make me take a star/point away. We will only stay at this hotel when visiting the area.

All staff was super nice and helpful. 24/7 coffee was great. The room was small and the only ac was in the living room. Bedrooms were 75-78 degrees. Living room was freezing.

We will definitely stay here again if these people continue to work here; Tameka, Kee, Chris, and Demetria. They made my family feel welcome everyday that we stayed here. |My family is on the bigger and busier side of life so when I say our daily lives are go, go, go you know what I mean. My whole family felt welcomed by ALL the staff, they helped us out when life got “too busy”. |There were 2 or 3 days when we needed extra assistance and time, this crew actually understood and helped out where they could. When any other hotel would have charged huge fees, these people helped avoid charging us when they could, helping my family out so much!|We will stay here again in a heartbeat because of the staff! They are great people! Thanks

This hotel is not listed on any road signs on main highway, although Hyatt Place, Holiday Inn Express, Sonesta was advertised on main highway signs. GPS directed me to Hyatt Place, which is diagonally located in front of hotel. A bush covers the Candlewood lawn sign. Upon checking in beautiful and nice fragrance in the lobby. Was not greeted as elite member. This is a 100% smoke free hotel however, there is a strong odor of marijuana in the hallway. Followed signs to elevator where you walked a mile to the actual elevator. There is only 1 elevator. There is no ac in the elevator. Hot as hell. We stayed on the second floor and there is a weird smell inside the room. Went to walk around in all the rooms, bathroom, living room and kitchen. In the bathroom was a dead roach. I picked it up
