Candlewood Suites Birmingham - Inverness by IHG

It is in a great area with good food and entertainment. Parking was not hectic or packed. Clean room and easy check in and out. I wanna give a special thank you to Doug and his team. I left a very special blanket there in my room by mistake. I’ve had this blanket since I was 5 and is one of the last pieces of my grandmother I have left. Not only were they able to find it but once the email was sent over to them Doug mailed it out within 20min. I appreciate it sincerely. This hotel will be my first option anytime I stay in Birmingham.

This is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The only positive part of our stay was that the staff was friendly and polite. At check-in, everything initially seemed fine, but problems started immediately after. Our room door would not open. Staff had to use a master key and even then struggled to get it open. Once inside, we realized it wasn’t a key card issue — the door itself was faulty. Unless you wiggled the handle in a very specific way, it would not open. The room also had an unpleasant smell and was not the room we originally booked. We returned to the front desk, and they moved us to another room without any hassle. Unfortunately, the second room was still not as advertised. While it at least had the correct number of beds, one bed had no sheets, blanket, or pillows. Th

Very welcoming check in. Brian went out of his way to assure we had the best room for our accommodation. During the duration of our stay the young lady at the counter was very kind in dealing with our few needs. (Wish I remembered her name). The room was welcoming, comfortable, clean and spacious. The beds and pillows made for a great night’s sleep. The kitchenette was perfect for our needs. We did ask the lady who cleaned the room for a large trash bag to combine the bags of trash we were accumulating. I was assured kindly by her that if we left it outside the door she would take care of it for us . As for the location, it was very nice, a lot of food and grocery choices nearby. The parking lot was spacious and felt very safe.

The lobby was clean and welcoming and felt updated. The hotel is nothing special, but the room was clean and comfortable. The tv is positioned weirdly in that it’s hard to watch from the bed.|The room was quiet and the king size bed comfortable. I think the pillow was too soft, but that’s a preference on my part.|Make sure to ask for towels, because our room did not have any.|We did not use the stove or fridge, it everything appears clean.

Great room at a good price. 2 beds with fold out couch and full kitchen. Delicious free coffee in lobby. Such personable l, kind professionals at the front desk. I really loved that they chatted with me and our teens readily and were not on phones and didn’t have earbuds in (as we have experienced at other chain hotels). The hotel was extremely clean with staff about, taking great care to clean every crevice. Way to go team! You provided excellent services for us and our family on a long trip. We will be back!
