Candlewood Suites Austin Airport by IHG

Room was clean upon arrival, I really liked the kitchen, and housekeeping went the extra mile keeping everything, even the dishes I didn't expect them to touch. My only gripe was the required payment upon booking for the "complimentary" shuttle. You guys might want to look into what the word means. Also the information on finding the shuttle needs updating. The actual driver was great though, no complaints once we finally figured it out on our own.

Great “airport” hotel. Finished a conference and switched hotels for the last night to save a little $. ||Kelly the night agent was fantastic. Pleasant, polite, attentive, proficient, caring, competent, and everything else. A true joy after the fake smiles and gestures from downtown conference hotel that was crowded, loud, and over priced. ||Best part is the Holiday Inn across the driveway with a restaurant open breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Good food, good prices. ||Will def stay here again if I need a hotel in the airport area in Austin. Complementary airport shuttle much appreciated.

I have traveled for work for many years and have stayed at thousands of hotels. Everything was average as hotels go, but three major problems came up. Smelled funny to my wife, the bed was uncomfortable, but the worst was the all night road noise.. the worst I've ever experienced. Normally the noise tapers off from around 10pm to 5am at other hotels I've stayed in. Not here. I have a sleep monitor on my watch and I recorded 4 hours of actual sleep out of 7.5 hours. My worst ever. I believe the person at the desk should have put us in a quieter room on the other side of the hotels. If it would have been so much better if our stay was in a quiet room..

Loosing a family member is sad enough but being treated by the manager so poorly is making it even worse. I had to cancel my reservation due to loss of family member. For all the 6 hotels that I made for the trip this is the only hotel that doesn’t issue a refund or a credit for the emergency situation. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel due to the lack of respect and the manager was pretty rude.

Sadly, only one night...But everything was absolutely perfect. MARTHA at the front desk helped me get checked in a little early. The room was so much more than I expected. A full refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and 2 burner induction cooktop. Dishes, silverware and a real 4 cup coffee maker. The room was perfectly clean with great towels. I looked in the window of the workout room and it seemed adequate if you really needed to get in some gym time, I did not.
