Candlewood Suites Alexandria - Fort Belvoir by IHG

The recent renovations are evident throughout the hotel. Everything felt updated. My room was clean, well appointed, comfortable, and most important to me, quiet. I was very impressed by the quality and number of resources available in my room to accommodate anyone who needs to stay for a few days or weeks (e.g. stovetop, microwave, oversize refrigerator and separate freezer.) The room also had a high quality, comfortable, and supportive recliner chair and newer flat screen tv that made me feel just like I was at home. I do want to single out Alondra at the front desk for outstanding, courteous, and professional service and care. She went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and to make sure everything with my stay met my expectations. Kudos to her for her excellent guest care.

I am a working young professional who was in between leases originally and things ended up not working out sooner than planned. This property is absolutely great for long term stays. I would like to seriously thank Oscar for working with me and appreciate Lascanas (I PRAY I spelled that right), Andrea, and Catrice (I hope I spelled this right too) for their company. I had seen them most during my stay and they were always friendly and kind. Housekeeping does a phenomenal cleaning job. The fitness center was better than the one at my old apartment complex, I never appreciated dumbbells so much! The free laundry really is the icing on the cake. Overall, great time and great stay. Bed was comfortable. I was surprised to see the stove stop and microwave and full fridge. That was a delightf

Was pretty good except they charge a deposit every time you extend even in the same room. They charge ten dollars for free parking which is just greedy. No other hotel here charges for parking and there’s a huge empty lot and no one monitors. Front staff is poorly trained. They have no training on ADA laws or service companions. I was asked to disclose my personal health information to the manager so that he could make a personal decision on whether he believed my condition qualified for a service companion which is insane and violation of hepa laws and federally protected rights. Was still charged 75$ pet fee without first asking and after showing federal service animal ID and registration number. (Side note I explained I was at the hotel because my father had just passed and I was liter

Great customer service provided by operation’s manager Rafael Alvarez. Great hotel location & I love how they Dove soap 🧼 which is one of my favorite skincare options!!
