BWM North Lodge

Adorable motel in an incredible location. Rooms definitely could’ve been cleaner (shower especially; old soap on the walls, hair, moldy shower curtains, no ring for the toilet paper dispenser) but was cozy, affordable, and central for a wedding nearby.

Hotel was ok for a quick weekend getaway. It was clean and that matters most of all. But here are my negatives:|Rooms need a microwave. |Or the coffee room should be key operated for guests to get late night coffee. |Ice try’s need to be cleaned out for the mold starting to brew in there. |The hotel could use a leaf blower to the balconies and outside stairs and walls weekly. |But all and all not a bad hotel. |Pumpernickels is amazingly good. |They should open the empty building for breakfast because there is such a HUGE need for breakfast places in Bolton Pines and Lake George. |Don’t count this place out so fast. It really was an ok stay. |Hanns the owner says he sold to another owner and swears it will stay a hotel. I do hope it does continue on because it has a lake cabin feel. |

We stayed at BWM North Lodges for two nights to attend a wedding in the area. It was convenient that the North Lodges did not have a 3-night minimum, which we found most places in the area have during the summer. The beds were very comfortable and clean, and the location was convenient to local attractions. There was a slightly unpleasant moist/woodsy smell to the room, and I recommend bringing your own soaps/shampoo.

Room smelled horrible and looked very dated, there was stains all over the carpet and box springs. Was not on location of the main property. They had told us there was a shuttle every half hour for the event we where there for but we didn't see a shuttle to the end. But the amazing bartender was also the shuttle driver so we had wait for him. This place is like a motel 6 with a pretty view and not worth what we where charged, the main property is definitely better.

My wife and I made our annual trip to Lake George in mid August and once again stayed in the Bolton Pines Motel. I enjoy seeing Hans and his staff. The rooms are neat, clean and very affordable for this area in the summer. Its very quite and relaxing. Of course we ate at Pumpernickels our favorite restaurant in the LG area. We will be coming back again.
