A New Happy Place After Decades on Lake George Lake George has been part of my life for over 60 years, especially camping in the Narrows. But after last year’s storm on July 16th, my family lovingly “voted us off the island”—it was just too much for us older folks. This year, we found a vacancy at Candlelight Cottages, and it’s become our new favorite spot. This family-run gem is clean, welcoming, and offers a variety of cabin styles—from secluded retreats to charming Adirondack-style waterfront cabins. The lakefront, beach, patio, and dock are beautifully maintained, with stunning views of Shelving Rock, Dome Island, and Tongue Mountain. We can't say enough about our experience at Candlelight Cottages. We were a family of 9 who stayed in the house and enjoyed the house as well as the lake front. Everything is in beautiful condition and well-maintained. Every detail was so well thought out. Thank you for a wonderful experience

I had an amazing stay at Candlelight Cottages in June 2025 with my family. We took a last minute trip to Lake George, and thankfully Candlelight had a couple of cottages available for mid-week. The cottages were clean and well equipped, as well as the property well cared for. My stays at Candlelight have spanned nearly 25 years. It is a wonderful property, with even more wonderful hosts, Heidi and Mark. They are genuine and caring people. It shows how much effort they put into Candlelight Cottages and making it a great place to stay. I highly recommend Candlelight Cottages, without hesitation. I look forward to the next time I can vacation and stay there.

My brother brought his family up to show them where he and I spent our summers as children, and I was lucky to be asked along. It may be a few decades since we've been here, but we were not disappointed. The grounds are pristine, the cottage was immaculate and very well stocked. Everyone had a wonderful time, and we are already planning our visit back for next summer. No one was ready to leave, and we all wished we could have stayed another week.

This is my family's 3rd time staying at Candlelight Cottages. The cottages are clean, comfortable and efficient for a lakeside getaway. The views can't be beat. The location is just outside of town enough to be quiet but close enough to grab groceries, souvenirs and enjoy a night out.
