Northward Ho Resort

Another great stay at Northward Ho. We’ve been staying here for 7-8 years now and as always it was a great time. The rooms are ALWAYS clean, the grounds are always spotless and well maintained. The owner is super friendly and helpful. The rules are simple, it’s pretty much be nice and respectful to the other customers and the property and you won’t have any problems. As far as relaxing goes I don’t think you could find a better place to kick back and forget about life for a while. Goal is to try and go back in the fall for another brain reset.

This August will be my 40th stay at Northward Ho! The entire place from the pool all the way down to the lake is impeccably maintained. The rooms and cabins are clean and comfortable. The property is stunning. And the views from the lake, absolutely breathtaking. The owner is probably one of the nicest, kindest people I’ve met in my life. So nice in fact, that when I was a teenager and managed to lose approximately $300 of hard earned money in the lake- he dove in and retrieved all of it. There’s a reason my entire family goes back year after year, it’s simply the best! My daughter is now 3, and when we asked her what she wanted to do this summer all she said was “go to ‘George’ play in the lake and see (the owner)” We can not wait to be there in August. It is an extremely special place

Have been coming here for many years. Don and his family are family. The rooms have all you will ever need. The views are beautiful, the sunrise is all you'ld expect from a mountain resort. Peaceful and serene. Excellent sundeck and docks, with great fishing. Expect to see eagles, osprey, ducks and geese. If you've never been to Lake George, this is the place to experiece just how beautiful it can be!

My family has gone here every summer for 40 years. It’s truly a hidden gem. Lakefront access with plenty of seating areas for relaxing and enjoying the stunning views. Sheltered beach for the kids. Dock access for boating, kayaking, and row boating (row boats free one site). Great location, close to short hikes, half day and day hikes, and not far from Whiteface. Right next to Bolton landing for quality restaurants and shops.

Management is friendly and accommodating. Motel rooms are very clean and spacious enough to totally relax. Beautiful tranquil lakefront on the grounds. The grounds are well manicured and nicely landscaped. We stayed in a basic motel room close to the pool and a short walk from the lake front. The beds and pillows were very comfortable for my needs. Honestly, I would say, this is the nicest and most enjoyable place I’ve stayed at Lake George. Close enough to get to attractions, such as the National Adirondack Car Show we are attending, yet far enough away from the hub bub. A great place to get a feel of the Adirondacks.
