The Point Cabins @ Lake George

The Point in Bolton Landing is a step back in time in a great way! This adorable kid friendly small cabin complex was directly on the water. Our “duplex” log cabin was super clean and comfy. Our lovely lakefront cabin had a large private patio and a fire pit where we toasted marshmallows, played games and enjoyed quiet evenings outside. |We had a front row seat to view the fireworks put on at the Sagamore Resort. |The owner was welcoming and helpful. Other guests (a few that had vacation at The Point every summer for years) we’re friendly. |No chaos here. |So perfect for boaters (docking available) and families. All the toys you can think of are available for guests to use including kayaks, canoe, paddles boards. The beach is small, but perfect for kiddos. There is also a boathous

Can’t say enough wonderful things about this gorgeous property. We stayed here recently and couldn’t find a more remote, picturesque or romantic place. It’s everything you need for a quiet get away with excellent restaurants in walking distance of Bolton Landing. The cabins are large with vaulted ceilings, a full kitchen, working fireplace and large windows showcasing all of lake George’s beauty.The owners could not have been nicer and were available on site in the event we needed anything. There are private boat docks to use and a wonderful boat house where you can swim, sunbathe and grill out with friends. A++++.

The Point is one of those rare places that truly qualifies as a hidden gem. I’m a little reluctant to post this review and give away this family secret of ours but after coming here for over ten years it’s time that we finally give the Point the recognition it deserves for being the special place that it is. Each time that my family and I have stayed here we appreciate just how lucky we are in having found The Point. It gives us the feeling of staying at a rustic camp tucked away on a remote part of the lake while still being able to easily enjoy the benefits of being in Bolton Landing. The stunning views of the lake from each cabin, the smell of the pine trees, the warm reception from Sara and crew, and just the tranquility of being lakeside all make the Point a heavenly place for us.||

When I first walked down the stairs to the cabin I said, “Whoa can you believe this place?” The magnificent view of the lake, the tranquility, and the cozy atmosphere really sold it. I went to bed listening to the lake water lapping right outside my window. We stayed in Cabin 8, and it was tidy, well maintained, and had all the little things that make a difference: salt and pepper for eggs in the morning, extra towels, a spatula when you need one. Best of all? The family that runs it is exceptionally welcoming and treat you like one of their own.
