Budgetel Inn Birmingham/Homewood

The management and staff helped to 5o seniors at 3am in Mid November and have accommodated us since. We are truly blessed for the ownership and management team as well as the staff that has opened their doors for us as well are awaiting our homes to be ready.

After a fire, my dad was placed in this motel by the facility he was staying in and it is awful. The building does not appear to be up to code. Pieces are missing from the A/C unit, there are holes in the fabric covering the cushion for the seating area, and the sink and toilet are worn. There is dust everywhere and we had to ask the housekeeper to come clean the bathroom again. The drawer is off track and falls when you open it. One outlet cover comes out from the wall rather than fitting correctly, one outlet cover is broken, and two outlets don’t even have outlet covers. There is no light bulb in the light fixture by the mirror so it’s very dark and the fan in the bathroom doesn’t work. Very sub par place.

The senior and elderly residents from Skyline Village Retirement Community Apartments were housed at America's Best Inn (Budgetel in on the signage) in Birmingham/Homewood after a fire in one of the units and major water damage to several units in Nov. 2025, a few days before Thanksgiving. So sad and frustrating for all involved!!!! To consider a location of this caliber for this population of people was a freakin' disgrace!!!! Unfortunately, some residents did not have a choice, but I would not have housed my pet here. My family and I viewed the room and surely did not allow our mother to stay. That place is not adequate for a horse, and prior to the fire the Skyline building wasn't too far from the same below average standards of the upkeep, sub standard amenities, and pests for the cos

The most i saw in the room was a dead knat And the smell when you first walk in needs to go and take the big mirror down in the room it makes you feel like somebody watching you but other than that it was cool
