Budget Inn Charlotte, NC

I wasn't expecting much from a room with a nightly rate of less than $43, but the Internet service worked fine, and the room was very clean. My one-bedroom room was spacious and was adequately furnished. There were no foul odors in my non-smoking room. The nice, warm shower worked fine as well. This place had a "C" sanitation rating from the state, but I didn't notice anything that was dirty. This isn't the RItz-Carlton, but if you want affordability and a good night's rest... then this is fine.

Owner tried to get me to cancel online, pay cash then wanted an extra 50 in cash deposit! Do yourself a favor and avoid. Even wanted us to add a few dollars in cash to dollar amount online.

A hole in the wall decrepit hotel. The management is unconcermed and unbothered by the unsavory characters who frequently walk around the property. The rooms have a HEAVY MOLD smell and is only good to crash and lay your head for the night. I found a dead roach in the bed when i got up in the morning to check out. They DO NOT do card and payments must be in cash unless booked online. Even if you booked online (such as i did) they DEMAND a $50 cash deposit that was not disclosed until arrival. The store accross from the location is a HEAVY DRUG SALE LOCATION making the area totally unsafe. I was able to notice guests who admitted they LIVE at this hotel (the goverment pays for their stay) openly buy and sell drugs on the hotel's property. Got in the room and the bathroom was dirty the hotel covers had cigarette Burns cigarette butts on the floor. Asked to switch rooms and the Indian skinny guy said it was too late to change rooms. One guy that was staying at the hotel told me he have roaches in his room but I didn't see any bugs in my room so that was a good thing but I definitely will not stay here anymore... Save your money. It's not worth it
