This is a little old style hotel in the middle of South Padre Island. It was not fancy but it had everything I needed in a hotel. Check in went smooth and the receptionist was great. She matched an internet rate for us. The room came with breakfast which was toast and coffee in the mornings. |Our hotel room was clean with good beds. They were a little on the soft side but not too bad. The bathroom was clean and bright. All the usual amenities were in the room. This hotel has 2 elevators that worked well. The hotel also has great winter rates for monthly stays for those individuals that want to become Winter Texans.|Cons: The rooms smelled a little musty but we were close to the water. The hallways had a disinfectant smell.

March 6,2026 / Jacuzzi wasn’t working, no hot water. Room wasn’t secure, needs ALOT of maintenance. ** UPDATE ** Upfront said they aren’t planning to fix it since it’s too expensive & the jacuzzi hasn’t been working since a month ago.

Says it is 1200 feet from the beach. That is a lie it is maybe 1200 ft from the bay. Paid extra for a balcony and we were the only room with no chairs. Asked for chairs but did not receive them. Paid for early check In for the maid to open the door to clean once we were in there. Have small bugs in the bathroom. The jacuzzi does not work and there are no lounge chairs to lay on. If you are looking for a bargain go to another hotel. If you are looking to slumb then this might be your place!

Uumm, just no. The pictures are a bit misleading. There is no breakfast besides some little stale cake, there wasn't even any coffee. The picture showing breakfast with a waffle maker etcetera, not in this hotel. And the picture of the water slide is from some water park down the road. The location was pretty good, faces the bayside, with a nice view from the third floor balcony. But the people here are not real friendly, except for the one young man when we checked in, I think he went by Alex? He was amiable and helpful.
