Best Western Plus Waxahachie Inn & Suites

The bathroom had straight up MOLD in the shower. The bathroom also had clear water damage on the door and wall. There was a non-functional exhaust fan in the bathroom. Try doing your makeup in that humidity! I had to wait 2 hours for the mirror to defog. Next the bed was hard as a board! Like so hard I was tossing and turning all night and I actually considered driving home in the middle of the night. The furniture was scratched up like they pulled it out of a dumpster. The provided shampoo and stuff was all citrus scented. No non-scented options. Window had obvious signs that someone had “relations” against it and wasn’t cleaned.

So my family and I stayed in a non smoking room number 216 which is very outdated, the beds were the most uncomfortable mattresses you can sleep on, the bathroom has mold everywhere including the ceiling above the shower, the bathroom sink and above the door. You can literally smell dirt in the room as if it’s not cleaned properly and the room itself just has a overall horrid smell which I don’t know if it belongs to the cleaning products they use or if it’s something else but it’s reeks! and the cherry on the top is when you walk in there’s a heavy smell of cigarettes and weed. Waste of money and definitely Won’t be staying here again even though the location is convenient avoid this place if you have a family and are looking for a mold free comfortable stay.

The young lady who checked us in was friendly and professional. Upon entering our room it was clean, a bit outdated but no biggie. Things went downhill from there though. While walking our dog around the property the trash cans for pet waste were overflowing with regular trash. One of them was eventually emptied and the other one remained full after three days. On the third morning of our stay a water pipe burst. Water was pouring on the outside of our door, it started coming inside so we had to ask housekeeping for towels to keep it from coming in further. With zero concern from hotel staff we put our trash can outside of the door to catch the water. Then water started dripping onto the TV from the ceiling, and I had to use the ice bucket to catch the water. Notified staff and again zero

The room was clean overall, but the first queen bed I laid in was very squeaky and after about an hour laying in the bed I was itching all over. I called the front desk to see if I could change rooms, but there was not another non-smoking room available. She said one would open up for the next day and to call at noon to switch rooms. I changed beds and slept without issue on that bed. A friend was joining me the next day so I needed both beds. When I called to switch rooms I was told someone else booked the room and that the night clerk should have held it for me. There was not another room available. They sent maintenance up and they flipped the mattress and changed the bedding. It was still squeaky but not itchy so basically resolved the issue for the second night. Overall I would recomm

We stayed over the weekend for a wedding. The room we stayed in was filthy. The doors has these mold spots on the frame, the sheets had spots and there were used Q Tips on the floors. I know corporate is going to blame housekeeping, so I want to reiterate that housekeeping is not responsible for mold and the lack of resources to keep the rooms clean. As someone who has family in hotel management, this was a very disappointing experience. I will never stay here again.
