Best Western Plus Palm Desert Resort

Excellent friendly staff. Clean hotel. Excellent cooked to order breakfast. Dog friendly. A few sketchy people in the parking lot but they have security walking around a lot. Our car with belongings inside was unharmed. However, the bed was quite uncomfortable. Pretty hard mattress and the pillows were like rocks, all four of them. Both of us had sore backs and necks in the morning. Perhaps the hotel could offer 2 softer pillows so guests can choose their preference. All because of the bed situation, I only gave 3 stars. Everything else was good.

Liked the cooked-to-order breakfast! We remember this feature from visiting several years ago. It is served in the low building across from the main hotel. The coffee machine in the breakfast area can still be used after breakfast hours. FYI, there are some days when they do not cook breakfast but just have a usual hotel breakfast because there are many guests.|We asked for a room on the top (third) floor and they gave us one. Everything worked well and it was quiet. Liked the citrus-scented toiletries. We hope to stay here again!|One problem. Someone was smoking weed and the smell filled the courtyard. I mentioned it to the front desk and they did not do anything. They said that the property allowed smoking. But it does not as clearly stated on the hotel’s web page!

You know what isn't $5? A gallon of gas. You know what is more expensive than a California gallon of gas? Doing one load of laundry in a place as dingy as this. $5 for a load of laundry is the reason it's called Best Western Plus - the Plus is because it's obnoxiously expensive for the low quality that it is. Also you can only exchange quarters at the front desk in multiples of $5. 🙄 No one is going to tell you that you need quarters to do laundry before you get to the laundry room either. Even if you buy laundry soap from them at the front desk. 🙄

The facility was extremely centrally located. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the fresh made breakfast included with the stay. I will definitely stay there again @@

I like their breakfast and it's made to order. The rooms however are poor. Thin walls so you hear every word from adjoining rooms. Mold in bathroom. We had problems with heater and bathroom lights and fans. Maintenance jumped on it right away. It's just too bad you walk into all the issues.
