Best Western Plus Alexandria / Fort Belvoir

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had at a hotel. As soon as I walked into the lobby, the manager named Stacy immediately started yelling at me. He asked if I had parked my trailer there the previous week. When I said yes, he aggressively demanded that I pay $100 for parking. The problem is that during my previous stay nobody informed me about any parking fee for a trailer. There was no warning at check-in, no explanation, and no communication from the staff. Instead of calmly explaining the policy, Stacy chose to be extremely rude and confrontational from the very beginning. Stopped for a Saturday night while going to Mt Vernon for wine tasting - this hotel is very reasonably priced and located 7 minutes away from Mt Vernon. Rooms look like they're recently renovated, although some cracks in the shower pan / pop tiles in the bathroom are an interesting choice. The breakfast downstairs is remarkably good for a free / included continental style. Great eggs / juice selections & pancake/waffle machines. Would honestly come back again!

Stayed here three nights for a retirement ceremony. I was a little concerned when we first pulled into the parking lot as it shows signs of wear. We found everything very nice, room was nice, bed was wonderful and bathroom had been remodeled to a modern look. Warm breakfast in the basement. Coffee machine in the lobby with “so-so” coffee. BYOS - they spared no expense on shower body wash and shampoo, 3/4 oz. bottles. Need to Bring Your Own Soap and Shampoo

Positive: It was clean and close to Mt Vernon. The breakfast was satisfying as well. Negative: It was a little hard to get into the motel from HWY 1 as you had to make u-turns to go north or return from the south on 1.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great stay at Best Western Plus in Mount Vernon, VA! The room was spacious, the bed super comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast very simple and rustic but the location was perfect for exploring the area. Only small suggestion — the AC/heater filter could use a quick cleaning, as it had a slight odor. Otherwise, everything was excellent!
