Best Western Gateway Grand

Older property that's showing it's age. The breakfast had lots of options but wasn't very good, with the exception of the cooked to order omelet station which was great! The room was clean and spacious, but the bathroom was small and the door didn't shut all the way. In its prime this was probably a top notch property. But it's definitely past it's prime. It was still a good value for what I paid for an overnight on the road. I wouldn't want to spend multiple days though.

Positive: It is super clean the staff is very nice and helpful. They keep the ground such as pool and hot tub working and clean. Has room service just wonderful. Negative: I like everything my only suggestion is to maybe update curtains designs a little bit but not a big deal

TRUTH* I have worked at many hotels but I must say the best Western gateway grand could have so much potential to be a lot better than what it is. They don't follow the guidelines/policy for the licensing of their pool they leave it open 24/7! This is dangerous. This opens the possibility for injury or drowning. The housekeeping is treacherous! Guest check-in, go to their room just to be surprised by a condom wrapper in their bed, dirty sheets, pet paw print throughout the room, or dirty underwear left behind from a previous guest. Complete turn down and sanitation is a slim chance to none. No need to make it aware to management they will do nothing about it. The standards for this hotel are unrealistic. It’s the people who make this rating a five out of five. Amazing workers throughout the entire establishment. Rooms are standard and clean. The pool is well kept (not heated) but the outdoor hot tub makes up for it!). The breakfast is above average with the made to order omelette! But I come back to the staff. Friendly, accommodating, and hard working! They really make this hotel standout.

The hotel looks like a castle when you drive up! The pool and hot tub were nice and the breakfast with an omelet station was amazing! The only complaints I have are the bathrooms need some updating, like using the correct toilet seat, and using a fully encased waterproof bed cover for the beds! While I was checking for bedbugs, like I do at every hotel I stay in, the mattress pad didn't fit the whole mattress and the mattress itself was disgusting with stains! The sheets were mostly clean but also had stains. The rest of the hotel looked great, especially with the holiday decorations that looks like someone spent a lot of time putting up! Still, convenient and good prices for a quick night's sleep! I've stayed in worse places for more money. Front desk employee was very helpful and frien
