Best Western Fairfax

Our stay at the BW was great! It's a "motel" where most of the rooms are entered from the outside. Check-in was a breeze, parking is ample, staff is friendly, grounds are clean, rooms were clean and spacious, and the location was excellent! The pool looked inviting, but we didn't use it! This is a wonderful place to stay for a night or weekend, especially if you are visiting George Mason. I would definitely stay there again..

It's a good place to stay in. Not luxurious or extraordinary but it's practical and clean. I stayed for two weeks but had to change my room multiple times. I don't know why, but the front desk makes it sound like they have no availability while more than half the rooms are empty. So they put me in a room where the heating wasn't working, then changed me to another room right in front of the smoking area (the ashtray) and the room smelled like smoke and weed every time someone was outside smoking. So thankfully, Bilal at the front desk was there that day and gave me several room options. He's very kind and hospitable unlike a few others at the front desk. We were in town for one night. For the price, this hotel was amazing. Room was clean, everything worked. Awesome hot breakfast with many choices. Decent fitness center. Only a few machines but enough to get a work out in. Also looks like it has a nice pool but being February, we didn't partake in that.

Good breakfast. Beautiful pool (withnochairs).Room had peeling wallpaper. Tall lamp didn't work. No outlet covers on one outlet. Great shower head. Shampoo dried my hair out! Asked maid for more wash cloths and she didn't have any.

I booked and paid for only one night at Best Western Fairfax through booking.com with my TD Bank debit card - which has been approved and accepted via booking.com. When I arrived, Best Western Fairfax stated they have not received any transaction from booking.com and charged me AGAIN on my AMEX credit card. I spoke with a representative at booking.com, Jomari, and he stated he spoke with the Best Western Fairfax manager who will cancel the AMEX credit card charge as they have already received payment through booking.com TD debit card. Today, AMEX posted a charge from Best Western. Why is there no refund as promised? I only stayed at Best Western for one night but there are still 2 different charges - on a debit card (through booking.com) and a credit card (on site by Best Western). The roo
