Baymont by Wyndham Omaha West

Booked a room for a short stay. Arrived at 2 in the morning with my wife and 2 kids. When I got in the lobby, there was a guy sleeping in a chair and no one behind the counter. I rang the bell, no one came. Called the phone. No one answered. I finally shook the guy's leg that was sleeping and he didnt move. I honest to God thought he was no longer with us. Went outside, came back in, another guy tried to wake the sleeping beauty. Shook him awake finally and he helped us get a room finally. Now the room was the same story. Walked into the room to a solid 50 degrees (mind you, its 0 degrees outside). This is beyond unacceptable. I get it, its a budget hotel, but turn the heat on a little. Not impressed. Would not recommend.

Counter person said my room number out loud, no elevator. All rooms show no smoking. I had a smoking room due to availability. Asked about a non smoking and it was a no go. No batteries in remote for the TV had to replace them 2x. Sprayed ozium opened windows and some of the smell went away. There's a soft spot on the floor in the bathroom may go through the floor soon in the bathroom. Breakfast for 3 hours 6-9 am. You can only enter in the main door you cannot enter in any other door but you can exit any of the other doors. The door latch was broken sheared The ceiling is coming away from the walls.

Y'all can do better. The three-bed room we reserved was not available. All the pre-registration paperwork did not upload. The lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. Hair dryer and shower made some crazy noises. Towels were not professionally folded - hopefully they were fresh. No water (for sale or otherwise) anywhere but tap. Nothing terrible and none of my complaints are due to being a low cost hotel, but standard tasks that should be a non-issue.

We are on a road trip back home and just needed a place to lay our heads for the night. After through torrential rain we were greeted by a Very friendly staff member. When we checked in the gentleman at the desk realized it was my birthday and upgraded our room! Had a lovely stay and a lot of choices for continental breakfast. Very clean, comfortable accommodations.

Positive: Analyzing entire stay, breakfast. Because that was hospitable but everything else was not. Negative: I was monitored and recorded in my hotel room. It was obvious after talking to the gas station lady at Phillips. She said the front desk white male 40s ish and he chewed her out bc she forwarded me it?s bad to stay there due to crime and she was right
