Baymont by Wyndham Modesto Salida

I honestly don’t understand how this hotel can even market itself as a place to “rest.” It’s literally wedged between a freeway and a railroad track. The noise is absolutely unbearable. Cars and semi-trucks roar past nonstop, and just when you think it might quiet down, a train comes blasting through — horn and all — shaking the entire building. The trains run all night. Not once or twice. ALL. NIGHT. Every time one passed, the walls vibrated and the horn sounded like it was right outside the window. Sleeping was impossible. Even with earplugs, the noise cut through. The location feels unsafe and poorly planned. Instead of a relaxing stay, it felt like trying to nap in the middle of traffic. If you value sleep, peace, or even basic comfort, do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. V

Great rates, very clean although we kept getting mosquitoes in our room at night, beds very comfortable. Only bad thing is the train across the street and we had a room facing that way, maybe the back room not so bad. But will use again if in the area.

I liked this motel. Clean rooms and efficient staff. You are by the highway and train tracks which is why the price is low. I slept fine.

Positive: I like the hotel because it’s clean, friendly, it has a pool, gym, and breakfast in the morning. The staff is nice. Negative: I’ve stayed here in the past, but this time we entered the bedroom and it was like the heater was on. It was 93 outside and even hotter inside. They need to leaxe the AC on in every room.

Very nice staff, rooms were clean. Close too shopping and dining. The traffic pretty noisy but other than that, I felt safe and was very comfortable. Continental breakfast was good. Clean pool and spa area. Just wish I had the time to exercise and try out exercise room.
