Bay Inn

Remember that this is a $70-$100 hotel ! . They have to cut corners somewhere . I just checked in today and my room is beautiful . Two nice beds a microwave a decent size fridge . Take $20 and go across to Dollar General get some $1 essentials that you should do at any hotel . I didn’t come here for 5 star service or breakfast . I wanted a place to sleep for a few days because I could . Based on the reviews I wouldn’t have booked it. Yeah my floor can be mopped but I’m not too proud to clean them myself and wipe down the counter tops . If you want a decent place to sleep, shower and explore Tampa , I recommend this place.

All started when we pulled in the parking lot. Lighting on the building was blinding (red flags). Went into the office and there was bulletproof glass across the front of the whole desk. Asked jokingly if it has come in useful and he said it is a good area they don't need it. The description of the hotel says it's a non-transient hotel in Google..... Multiple rundown vehicles in the parking lot with flat tires and no license plates. Even a 80's GMC van with stickers on it of ice cream cones and big stickers saying only stops for children Drove around the back to our designated room which was number 103 caught out of the car to walk up to the room and the first thing I noticed was the door which is made of steel had a 4 to 5 in gash in it from the outside in from what looks to be the head

Stayed a week, my room was very decent,marble counter was great for cutting coffee packages open, I can never just rip them, they're just too small...lol..had single bed $85 per day...I don't like that they charge tax and $50 deposit, but they're not the only ones. Floor was relatively clean, compared to other hotels around that intersection..I like to walk barefoot inside,so I noticed. Ice dispenser works, it's right by the pool. Was able to get deposit back quickly without hassle, it's probably better if you pay cash, cards always take too long IMHO. Of course, the traffic noise spoils the stay..ac actually worked well and didn't have that weird smell..I don't know if every room is that good but 229 was decent. It had a nice desk with chair as well,and I didn't have to eat on the bed,goo

Very sketchy place the pool looked nice but I don't believe it was open. The room was worst I have seen in awhile. Holes in the comforter, springs coming up in the bed. TV didn't work. It appeared to be decently clean except for the bathtub stray pubes 🤮. I was only there one night last minute stay, it was cheap you get what you pay for in this instance.

Nice front desk. Room dilapidated and dirty. Literally the worst, loudest, bumpiest, crappiest bed I've ever seen. It sounded and felt like rolling over beer cans. Unbelievably high price for a literal dump. Strange people that hanging around. One guy on a scooter carried his scooter up the stairs in an attempt to follow me. At that point had already asked about security - there was none and had to my chances. If it weren't for being 100% exhausted, there's no chance in hell I'd have stayed. Unsafe, dirty, gross.
