Ayres Hotel Manhattan Beach/Hawthorne

I chose to stay here because of the reviews I saw, and you typically wonder; …are the reviews fake? They have so many 4-5 star reviews and I can attest they are not fake. I had a great stay here, it’s close to may restaurants and the airport ( the reason for our stay ). The receptionist was very kind and gave my mom and I great rooms. I was able to drive to local establishments like fishing with dynamite ( Michelin recognized - I highly recommend ) & we got to see a 4dx movie nearby as well! It’s just a very well maintained hotel, beautiful inside, and near so many places to enjoy during your stay! It’s also next to a Costco which I also appreciate because I love Costco gas haha. Checkout was quick and easy and LAX was about 7 minutes away!

Very nice and comfortable room. Stayed 2 nights. Could not take a bath because the stopper did not work. No soap in the shower/bath soap dispenser Next day, at 4:30pm, I had to call the front desk to request that my room get cleaned. They seemed to be reluctant to help, but did eventually send someone Pillows very comfortable. Thanks

The Ayres Hotel could be a great 4 star experience, but there are a few things holding it back. First of all the pool and jacuzzi in the courtyard are far from a sanctuary. They are so tiny and shaded that literally no one ever used them despite the near 80 degree sunny weather. Secondly, there is almost no breakfast to speak of. While the other Ayres Hotels have free full buffet breakfasts, this one only has an extremely light continental breakfast with no hot dishes. The hotel does not serve lunch and one of the evenings I was going to have dinner there, they were closed for a private event. Finally, the service is subpar. They list a concierge service but when asked, the front desk personnel are not knowledgeable or helpful. Even the shuttle is hit and miss. I was just told that I could

We enjoyed our short stay at the Ayres hotel. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful. I wish I'd had more time just to enjoy the statues and art work. The room was spacious and comfortable. We would definitely book a stay at this hotel again.

Very lovely hotel with lots of Victorian characteristics. Court yard is nice to relax in the morning having a cup of coffee. Pool and hot tub are outdated and there is no bar and restaurant currently. There isn’t any nice restaurants and bars in the neighborhood
