Austin Marriott South

We used this hotel for accommodation during our son's wedding weekend. The majority of the guests were from out of town and stayed here. The sales and events teams were responsive and helpful with details leading up to the weekend and during our stay. Shay and April were especially responsive and helped problem solve any issues we encountered. The front desk staff were kind enough to hand out welcome bags and were always helpful. A special thank you also goes to the bar staff who were willing to stay open later for everyone to celebrate after the reception. They were friendly and fun! We would highly recommend this hotel for any upcoming events!

Really had no issues at this hotel other than the toilets in the room being less than chair height. Room was well appointed, had a chair and desk that were nice. Bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows of different types. Decorations throughout the hotel were very nice. The breakfast buffet was well varied with good food. Definitely go for the omelet. We had to arrive late and we just talked with the desk before arriving and we had no issues with getting our room. Parking is adequate, but it is definitely sandwiched in between several hotels on that side of the highway. In close proximity to restaurants and easy access to I-35. I would definitely stay again. I absolutely love this hotel! From the moment I arrived, everything about the Austin Marriott South felt warm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. The property itself is stunning, but what really stood out was the M Club Lounge — it’s truly one of the best I’ve ever experienced.||While I was a bit disappointed that my last two upgrades didn’t result in an upgraded room, I must say the room I stayed in was still very nice and comfortable. The staff throughout the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly, always going out of their way to make sure guests were taken care of.||The restaurant on-site was another highlight. ‎Excellent hospitality provided by Kristine and felt good excellent with the other staff and one of the best place to stay in Austin. Friendly, accommodating staff, willing to help with a smile. Facilities, swimming pool were well maintained cleanliness and good looking rooms. I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere other than Austin Marriott South. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends for family trip, business trip especially this holiday season.

Pictures looked great but was a terrible experience. 1st of all, this location charges $75 PER NIGHT for incedentals. I was planning to stay for a week so they tried to charge me an extra $500+ without telling me... Luckily I asked before they charged me. The room smelled strange and the shower didn't drain properly so the water backed up and the towel hang was broken. The hotel looked old with renovations missing in many common areas like the garage and the elevators.
