Anchor Inn

Outstanding opportunity as always! We have stayed at the Anchor Inn many times over the years. It continues to be a wonderful oasis! The rooms are clean, the staff is kind and efficient, the pool is wonderful and our favorites: the porch and the dock are phenomenal and fun! Highly recommend!

As a previous local resident of the shore, that comes and visits multiple times a year… I am not thrilled with this place. Upon arrival I noticed what I thought was a roach in the bathroom but overall the cleanliness of the room was great so waited it out. Few hours into our stay I notice a huge one in the cabinet. Tell myself we’re near water and maybe it’s normal. Until 4am when my daughter is yelling about a roach on the wall next to her. Next day our neighbor a level up and over at 9:20 complained my child’s iPad was too loud and wasn’t nice about it. The last straw for me is that my daughter was in the middle of making food in the microwave and the microwave stopped working along with the 2nd microwave, TV, lights, everything besides the bathroom light and light next to the bed. Positive: "" Negative: beds had mesquitos in the sheets, toilet seal was falling off, sliding door lock was broken and did not lock, sink was clogged up and did not drain, table was broken and leg fell off i did not enjoy my stay and moved to another hotel in two days.

Overall this two night stay was a good experience at Anchor Inn. Our family enjoyed the pool at the Marina Bay next door and the sunsets from the dock were great.||The experience was soured a bit at checkout when each night was $15 higher than the amount quoted in the confirmation email. As another reviewer has mentioned, they will assess this fee as a "parking fee" even though it isn't disclosed in the confirmation and their booking site says parking is free. Beware.||They also just started offering a complimentary breakfast. That is great, but you can tell it is just getting off the ground. The first morning there was no fruit, no milk, no cereal, no forks, tea bags but no hot water, etc. It's great that they are bringing it back, but it might take a little while till they hit thei

Been coming here every June for a long time. Obviously a change of ownership this year. Nothing was the same. Breakfast was pathetic. No waffle maker, no fresh juice machine, nothing but scrambled eggs and potatoes. Everything else was an additional charge. None of the ice machines worked. No one seemed interested in fixing a broken patio table by the pool. Seems like the new owners are off to a bad start.
