Hotel is run down, needs rennovations. Breakfast was completely lacking . The gentleman at check in was very kind, upon check out, the two people didn't really care if we were there or not, too busy in their own conversation. No thank you for staying with us or anything. Didn't offer me a printed receipt, just took the keys and when I asked if that was it, I was told yes, I'd get an email receipt (which I did). I wouldn't stay at a AmericInn property again Also, no elevator at this particular hotel. If you need to transport a bunch of luggage to the upper floors, be ready to haul them up there. Seems like all the handicapped rooms are on the first floor, which we opted to take because we had a senior dog traveling with us, who can't climb steps and we also had a lot of luggage.
Positive: Allowed Dogs, Quiet, Great Location, Safe Neighborhood, Double Locks on Doors, Decent Beds, Grass for Dogs. Shower Pressure was incredibly strong. Negative: Hotel is worn out. Carpets need replaced, furniture beat up, Needs refresh for the price I paid for 1 night, and the star level, but was a great fit for 1 night. It was a home game football weekend.
There was gunk all over the remote control. The spa had particles floating in it. There was a dehumidifier by the pool that's moldy drain hose was draining directly into the pool. The wifi didn't work. Went to breakfast at 730 and all the eggs and sausage was gone and so was the bread. The milk was spoiled. One of the pillow cases had a brown stain on it. There were no comforters on the beds it was just a flat sheet a wooly middle and a flat sheet on top of that. The front desk guy was really nice though.
Good location, within walking distant to Cracker Barrell and other restraunts and stores. The rooms need to be more updated but were very clean. pool and hot tub were working and heated. Breakfast was good. A great value overall.
