Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket

It was great being in the Haymarket for our brief stay in Lincoln. Lots of unique stores and restaurants were all close by. We were disappointed that the pool was closed for renovations. The room was comfortable and quiet. Our room was on 3rd floor facing the ice rink across the street. There was an additional charge to park in the nearby parking garage of $15/day. Bed was comfortable, spacious suite and bathroom had step in shower, no tub, which was better. We noticed immediately there was a missing light bulb at one bedside table and reported this to staff. The continental breakfast menu included French toast sticks, waffle sticks, eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, bagels or bread, berries, etc.

The location was perfect, walking distance the Pinnacle arena. Great atmosphere, very inviting. The rooms were big and very nice. It was a very clean and quiet hotel with great service. The only issue we ran into was at breakfast the next morning. They were very slow to replenish items. They were very busy, just seemed unprepared for the crowd. You should have backups available. I mean, how do you run out of coffee at breakfast? I could see it we arrived at the tail end of breakfast, but we did not.

Positive: Location to arena/ stadium/ restaurants! Safe area... easy walks to everywhere. Negative: View outside windows to back of hotel wasn't great

My husband and I stayed here many times, but this trip I am finding it less than satisfactory. The bathroom glass shower stall seemed a bit dirty, could be stained from soap(?) but that doesn’t excuse it. Maybe update the shower doors for more professional and comfort for the guess. Also the doors… I don’t remember the doors to the rooms slam so hard when guess come in and out. They could wake the dead!!!. We also had kids running up and down the hall which didn’t help. We really like the hotel and it’s at the best location when we’re in town, but I believe there needs to be improvements to make this place what it promises.

This hotel has nice rooms and the front desk lady is friendly..... and that's about it! Don't mind a walk, but you have to go to a parking garage with no signs to tell you how to get back to the hotel. I was not dressed for the weather as I had no way to know that I was going to have walk several blocks in 25 degree weather. Then when I finally made it (after calling for directions) I hit up on the elevator. And nothing. No beep, no car and the lights above were black above the doors, yet no out of order sign. Again, don't mind the steps but lugging a week worth of luggage up 3 flights of steps sucks. Rooms also do not have microwaves. I am somewhat bothered that they were earplugs left in the room. That makes me wonder what I'm in for the week. There's also no USB ports in the room. Hope
