Americas Best Value Inn Rockford

Checked in with Expedia price. Clearly looking for pet friendly room. Service Desk charged me for their price. Once corrected he had already put my bank card through( partial payment). Then he said he canceled asked for cash. OK $51.44. Partial charge on card $59.44. Was being charged $71. Why have approved rooms for cheaper prices but still try to charge customer full price. Now trying to get charge on bank card reimbursed. Ugh. Couldn't watch TV plug in loose, no toilet paper, one wash cloth two hand towels no bath towels.

Positive: "" Negative: I went to check at at 6 am and the doors were locked, nobody was there til 8. And no hours were posted... but i have never seen a hotel that didn't have someone at the desk at all hours.

Do NOT book this hotel. The any and all photos are misleading. This is an unsafe hotel (motel) both physical (the building) and your own personal safety. The building is rundown, falling apart from the concrete, to the glass doors, the rooms have holes in them and there are maybe 4 rooms.

I was very well pleased, with the service.. had a great stay and time. The room and bathroom were clean and up to par.. i would recommend this hotel to any and everybody wholeheartedly!

Reserved non smoking room Oct 11-13 2025 Don't stay here- they will give you a garbage room. The pictures on Expedia show a clean, no frills room. It is misleading. The "non smoking" room stunk of cigarette smoke so strong we asked to move. The next room had a filthy bathtub. Just needed a place close to family we were visiting to sleep and take a shower, nothing fancy, but this was disgusting. Also- while the desk clerk agreed the bathroom was bad- when I showed pictures, the cleaning person argued with me that it was not. Booked through Expedia and for whatever reason they cannot get a refund for us. Couldn't sleep there, checked out early and went elsewhere, worst hotel experience ever.
