Americas Best Value Inn Opelika

This place is awful and the customer service is garbage. I rented a room there January 23, 2026 I was only in my room for maybe 2 hours the bathroom was nasty covered in black smudges, hair all over the shower and tub, not to mention what looked like boggers all over the walls in the bathroom. The microwave looked like it had never been cleaned out food splattered inside it from 1953. Now the best part is the the darn ROACHS that were just a crawling around all over the walls and shower curtain. I have been dealing with these people since that night to talk to the manager that is never there! What kind of business do they have? A manager who can NOT deal with a customer complaint or the fact that they have a business that is nasty and ROACH infested? They are giving me the run around about

Because of the Auburn v. UK game, all of the hotels raised there prices astronomically. This room was $270 a night. The shower/tub combo was filthy, as were a couple of other things. After checking in, I asked a housekeeper to please clean the tub, which had old pink and purple stains, as well as dirt and hair. After arriving back that night, it had not been cleaned. The next morning, I asked the front desk the next day, and she only asked out room number. She didn’t utter another word. It was cleaned that day. The shower water was cold. I never could get it warm. The coffee pot in the room was nasty, and the beds squeaked with old metal coils. $540 was paid. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I made a reservation online. The price was $85. The credit card came through for $120. In calling to correct the error, I could not understand the accent of the two different people with whom I talked. I asked for a supervisor both times. No one called me back. ||I called the phone number number of the hotel itself and at about 5 o’clock the night before to talk with the manager. He was gone for the day.||I checked in about 2 o’clock in the afternoon, I asked to speak to the manager. He was gone for the day.||The room was adequate but the bathroom was not. It was dirty. There was no soap in the liquid soap dispenser and the shower floor was dangerously slippery. The towels were skimpy.||When I checked out, I asked to speak with the manager. You guessed it, he was gone for the day. I left

Positive: Staff were friendly Negative: Very dirty! Dead bug in our bathtub. Cold shower. Breakfast was Little Debbie oatmeal creme pies and cinnamon rolls, cereal, & yogurt. We had to ask them to put more food out. Waffle maker was out and ready but no waffle batter was available.

I paid for a king bed .was told they didn't have one available..so I took a single that was full of roaches.ask for a different room.so they gave me the one next door.has bugs too.so I ask can I please get a room with out bugs .yes you can but it's. $25 more ..how is this even legal.
