Americas Best Value Inn Chico

We got a roof over our heads, allergies from the mold and mildew. A friend of mine and I needed a place to stay for two nights and are not well off by any means, so even though we paid about $130 for two nights and the complimentary breakfast etc... that's a LOT of money for what we experienced. Mind you I grew up going to Motel6 in the 90s so for cheaper palaces I do have lower standards, but not no standards. *The front desk employees were very nice both when we got there and left. When we got there another guest came to the front desk asking for toilet paper and the response they got was, 'we don't have any more.' Positive: Great location, quiet room. Negative: It's an inexpensive hotel so, I got what I paid for. Room was kind of dingy, towels were hilariously small/thin....but it was an awesome location and the staff are very nice/

I stayed for 3 days in December 24 when I was on business trip. Clean rooms, comfortable bed and professional staff. Front desk staff was friendly and breakfast was also quite nice. Overall it was more than satisfactory, more than my expectations.

The staff was amazing, they were very friendly and helpful. They generally seem to care about their guest. The rooms could have been a little cleaner, but even housekeeping staff was wonderful. Of course we came on a very busy weekend and they were completely packed.

Very dirty. Smells of cigarette smoke. Stains on curtains, bedding, and linen. Also, shower did not work. Front desk gentlemen Patrick and Sebastien were kind and apologetic. Unfortunately they did not have the authority to move me or to correct the situation. Management unresponsive.
