Quality Inn Near Chico State

We were so pleased with our room and stay at Quality Inn in Chico. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. The heater was easy to operate and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. The shower was great and even had a second “waterfall” feature that was very nice. The room was very clean. Also, the complimentary breakfast was great! Waffles, cereal, bagels, yogurt, muffins! The woman working the front desk, Teri, was very friendly and welcoming and helpful in suggesting local restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

The motel is in a decent location, fairly close to downtown. We were less pleased with the room because it felt damp. The towels seemed to have been put up without being completely dry and there were no hooks in the bathroom for towels. The worst aspect was the housekeeping service, however. Our room was not cleaned two days in a row. We had put out the do not disturb sign and removed it between 9:30 and 10 am both days when we left. I mentioned it to the desk, and was told that if we have the sign out they don’t clean the room. I asked why they didn’t make a 2nd pass for those rooms not vacated early and was told we would have to tell the desk when we left for them to do that. We were very disappointed in the apparent lack of concern by the desk attendants that our room hadn’t been clean

Positive: Clean room and I got my coffee fix, drink 5 to 6 cups a day Negative: Breakfast consists of two dry cereals and waffles with milk and pastries. No eggs or hot food. It's a continental at best. We had to spend more money to get a good breakfast at a restaurant

The front desk person Terry was incredible. She was so understanding of me booking the wrong day and did everything she could to help me out. She gave me a full run down of the amenities, and provided us with a great room. The next day we were so eager to take off on the road, and unfortunately I forgot to check out. I called and lone behold Terry answered. This was our first time staying in Chico, and I will absolutely be back! Thank you so much!

My wife and my sons and I stayed here about a week ago. Teri was very kind and professional and helpful. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was okay for the price (it did also have bagels and butter or cream cheese which does have protein to help start your day.). It is the nicest hotel in Chico for the price point. PS again, Teri was very kind and welcoming to us and that made the stay even better.
