Americas Best Value Inn Battle Creek

I have to say that this is by far one of the diamonds in the rough. Everybody seems to have a bad outlook on this place, but I tell you what, it's way better than what everyone thinks they're friendly here and you're not going to be surprised by any little friends if you turn on the lights in the middle of the night. So if you do need to stay somewhere for a day or two or even a week or two it's only a few extra dollars to have your fur babies stay with you and if you tell them not to bother you in the morning they won't.

I've given many chances and money to stay here and I'm done. Booked our 2 night stay and was given room 240.. oh how 240 will be forever etched in my memory banks.. the room was clean and smelled fresh with a plug in air freshener (seems these air fresheners are very common even in a past review I wrote about that) but things escalated to just pure gross and near puking levels on what was yet to come..||||Check in was a breeze and for the price (2 nights fri-sun) for under $100 in total is very cheap. Unfortunately my bank card was compromised after used to pay for room. In older rooms doors literally are a few inches higher then they should be and you can see outdoors. Worked out a pretty good deal with me while waiting for agency to help pay for room. Their family owned down Beckley other hotels are nicer for the price.

Came to stay in Michigan for about a month the first 2 weeks I stayed with a friend and all of my dogs were completely fine, the first day we stayed at this hotel my dog started exhibiting symptoms of parvovirus, and sure enough I took my 9 week old puppy to the vet and there was nothing I could do to save him , the parvovirus is all around this hotel , in the room we stayed in and I’m sure in other room and everywhere outside. The room was very dirty when we first came in , some one had slammed their head through the bathroom door and it was broken, the heater did not work at all and there was a chunk taken out of the bottom of the door so all the cold air was seeping in our room all the time WITH NO HEAT , had to go buy 2 $40 dollar heaters to keep it warm in my room. Ok, I stayed here because of the price then in terms of price -value you get what you pay. The room and bed was clean the bathroom was also clean but in terrible condition then it was not nice to see. The good thing is that is very well located and people was nice, it was snowing very hard and the management shovel the snow constantly during the night, then if you want low cost and location this will be good for you. This hotel is for one night only and if you can avoid the shower then you will be ok. In walking distance there is a gas station a Denny's, a panera bread and very close there is a Walmart and a mall then it is not all bad.
