Hampton Inn Battle Creek

Doesn't live up to Hampton reputation. When we went to check in we were informed we were on the 3rd floor ...all 3 rooms with NO elevator. My daughter has MS and my husband and i are in our 70s. Because of my back I am not able to do many steps and my husband has bad knees. Because of these issue we asked to change it to 1st floor told no all were booked so asked about other hotels. We were told we would be charged anyway because too late to cancel. Told nothing on 1st floor. After a lot of arguments was finally given handicap rooms on the 1st floor. Though she kept saying if someone came in with a wheel chair wouldn't have a room for them (our room just has regular tub-shower set up.). Does say hotel under renovation, but really no elevator? Rooms are definitely needs renovation. Ripped

Everything is nearby. The hotel is in the middle of renovation, but we had a fine experience. Our room was freshly remodeled and looked brand new, flooring, walls, ceilings, all fresh. The pool was open, and all facilities are operational during remodel. I found it to be a good value. Staff was friendly.

Positive: hmmm.. free waters? Negative: There was no warning until checki in; hotel pool is closed, major renovations/ loud!, elevator is out of service. Moldy smelly outdated rooms. Zero sleep next to the freeway. Trucks run all night! Do not pay more than $--- to stay here! 2 stars at best.

Dear owner who likes to apogize for everyones issues for the past several months.. FIX YOUR HOTEL. You know the issues so fix them. I stayed in room 318 for 3 nights. My job booked room so I had no choice but to stay. Lugging my clothes and tools up akd down 3 flights of stairs is unacceptable. My shower button was stuck so half the water camr out the bottom so no pressure coming out of the top sprayer. The fridge froze all my food solid as a rock and my sodas exploded. I see your hotelnis under renovations but readind the reviews it seems these renovations have been going on a year now..AGAIN UNACCEPTABLE. My coworkers rooms. Tv screen were blue which is also in other persons comments. Coffee was weak. And cream cheese at breakfast requires refrigeration. Are you trying to get people sick

BIG CHANGES HAPPENING FOR THIS PLACE!!!! Under new ownership and is currently going under a full building remodel floor by floor! I've stayed here when it was under previous management and it was horrible including some staff! I've been here just the other week and its staff and new management are amazing Laura the GM is doing amazing considering all the changes and staff is very excited for a new beginning the new owner is a awesome guy that knew it needed work and has taken the steps needed to get this hotel back into shape!! I cannot wait to make the trip back next year to see it all done!
