You have a great hotel that is lacking support and anyone that cares to keep it running. Perfectly clean room, comfortable bed. Body wash was completely empty in the room, hardly any pillows and had to ask for more. Wake up and go to get coffee in the lobby around 8:30am middle of breakfast service and it’s all empty. Walk over to breakfast bar with only one other couple eating, so not too busy, and milk is out for cereal, yogurt empty at parfait bar, pancake mix empty, 2 sausages in the warmer all while 2 employees are chatting at the desk about their weekend and completely ignoring their obvious job duties. Get some people that care, properly stock and support your amenities and you have a great hotel! Just needs a little bit more care/management to make it one of the best places to stay
I am happy to leave a 5 star review for this hotel and this so far is my second time staying here. I travel a LOT for work and this hotel has been the nicest one I have stayed at in a long time. Caleb at the front desk is super friendly and courteous as well as the other staff. Great customer service. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very nice. I will say the bed is also one of the more comfortable ones I’ve experienced in a while at a hotel. I also have appreciated that overall the hotel is quiet and not full of ruckus like other hotels. I can actually sleep at night. I’m sure I will definitely return again to stay here and I highly recommend this hotel.
Since my mom went into AL in BC, I don't have a place to stay when I visit. Among the hotels I've tried, this is the best. ||Everything is clean and well appointed. The linens are excellent quality and I love the lemony toiletries. The front desk was very helpful and quick. The breakfast was varied and tasty with some healthy options. Good coffee, too. I know this may sound like damning with faint praise but by my lights it was head and shoulders above everything else.||I want to recognize the evening staff Anita and Zack particularly. Check in was so easy. Zack even offered to help me with luggage! We are staying here again. Very happy with Tru.
Thank you, Caleb, for the warm welcome and efficient check in. New hotel. Rooms are a bit on the small side but are perfectly fine. I was told that they're considered a minimalist hotel so the only microwave is located in the lobby, none in the rooms. Elevators were quiet and smooth. The bed is comfortable, room temperature was easily controlled. There is a deposit when you check in. I'm told it gets refunded in 3-5 days provided there's no damage. The only thing I would suggest is not speaking the room numbers out loud unless the guest can't visually see what's written. Just a little bit of safety.
We stayed at the Tru by Hilton in Battle Creek on New Year’s Eve with our three children and had reserved two connected rooms. One of the rooms provided was an accessible room, which—due to the additional floor space—we gave to the kids while the adults used the standard room. From the moment we entered, cleanliness was a serious issue. Because it was a snowy day, we removed our shoes immediately at the entry and did not walk past the bathroom doors. Despite this, the floor in the accessible room was noticeably sticky, to the point where our boots were sticking to it. Within minutes, our 15-year-old noticed the bottoms of her socks were no longer white but dark brown, and every step made a Velcro-like sound when lifting her feet. Our 11-year-old—who slides around on floors constantly—ende
