Aloft Gainesville University Area

I had a family emergency and stayed at the Aloft Gainesville University Area during that stay. Everything at the property was efficient and the rooms were clean and comfortable. But what made this property special was the people, from Angie who checked me in, to Becky in the evenings to answer questions, and Monique at the bar. During one of the evenings when things were especially rough for me, they each went above and beyond to provide comfort, laughter through the tears and hugs. They didn't need to do that, I was a stranger just dealing with a personal issue, but their kindness stayed with me even after I checked out. So, I walked in looking for a place to stay and left with my heart being comforted during one of the toughest times of my life. For that, I say thank you to Aloft Gainesv

Genuinely a great experience worth the price. Quality stay and wonderful amenities. Two points that I would like to expand upon- 1) Kurt was my bartender. My voice was completely shot after three days of FEST (a punk rock music festival that Gainesville hosts). I just wanted a couple beers before bed, like your average degenerate. When he heard my broken voice, he brought me hot water with honey and lemon. I cannot express enough the appreciation I have for that effort. The definition of above and beyond. There are several reasons that I book at Aloft for every FEST I attend (3 so far), and will continue to do so. Service and care like Kurt provided is one of those reasons. 2) The rooms are fantastic with amazing service, but I want to take an entire point to mention the service itself.

I love the location of this hotel. It’s like 6 minutes away from dining, shopping, etc. and really close to UF if that’s the reason for your stay (mine wasn’t). The rooms are beautiful and the decor throughout the hotel is very modern. The rooms don’t have microwaves, but if you’re not looking to reheat anything up, then you’re good. I didn’t get to use it, but the pool area looked nice and relaxing. They have a bar for snacks that you can buy, and a small gym. The walk from my room, 408, was very far from the elevator, so just make sure to ask for a close room to the elevator if that’s an issue for you. The doors to the rooms do not have a way to keep open, at least not the one I got, so I struggled to individually bring in my luggage in the cart the hotel provided, and open the door at t

Come here for conferences every year and always delivers. Monique and Nike take great care of their guests. Easy parking, good location, clean room, no complaints.
