A Perfect Black Hills Stay! ​Our stay at Allen Gulch Cabins was fantastic! The location is truly ideal—nestled in a quiet, woodsy area where we saw deer in the mornings, yet it was an easy walk to downtown Hill City. It's the perfect central spot for exploring all the Black Hills attractions like Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. ​The owner, Shane, was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I were comfortable. His helpful and friendly nature made a huge difference to our trip. ​And you absolutely cannot miss the Tap Room in the back! It's such a great, relaxed spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The highlight of the evenings was spending time with Maggie, who runs the tap room. She is an outstanding host, a wonderful conversationalist, and makes eve

Super quiet spot. Cozy older cabins. Not fancy but comfortable. Great little wine and beer bar run by sweet Maggie, aunt of owner Shane. Great spot to unwind.

Quiet, comfortable and located just 2 blocks off Main St. on a dead end road. They run a malt beverage bar, have a fire pit and several BBQ grills. This is a great Basecamp for the southern hills.
