A Riverhouse Lodge

My girlfriend is very sensitive to smells and scents, And when we arrive the room smelled very "pretty", which might be nice for most people but gives her serious migraines. We asked if they could help us for this and they thoroughly washed everything for us and did a great job. Really appreciate the extra effort.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here while exploring and hiking in the San Isabel National Forest. We enjoyed the breakfast basket provided each morning and ate on a bench right by the Arkansas River! Our room was a little warm, but we opened the windows to let in the cool breeze and it was perfect! Brenda is super friendly and helpful if anything is needed during the stay. Would stay here again.

The room was "perfect" for our stay. We shared a commons area and kitchen with other guests which allowed us to meet new people and engage in meaningful conversations. We were greatly blessed and enriched by our accomodations. Thank you!

Just stayed here to have a cute night in BV on the way to CB. My mom and I were looking forward to riverside views and the hot tub, both of which were not available. The lodge itself is a few miles from the actual downtown historic area of Buena Vista and is not walkable from the lodge, as it looks to be on Apple Maps. We had a hard time finding the place as the address took us to a totally different area. The person who directed us to the lodge was very patient with us at least on the phone but there should be better directions in the text to ensure people don't get lost. Johnson Village wasn't anything to write home about - very commercial area - and the lodge is situated next to a gas station coffee shop and what appears to be an RV park for the adventure company. This is my second time at this establishment. It has become more pricey 😕 than 2 years ago and with the increase there is no hot tub and the muffins are still stale. I did not leave a review before and am surprised that no one has mentioned the stale muffins. We could use more vials of soaps and more than 2 towels. Amelia is now the inn keeper and I've reached out twice to get WiFi password. No response. Not sure why this info is not on the information page in the room. If it is we couldn't find it. Love the place just wish it was more worthy of $255.00
