Zephyr Mountain Lodge

We stay here, room 1422. Our trip was fantastic. The room was great. Very clean and up to date. The location was great, as it was right in center village. Close to the lifts and restaurants. The ski lockers were easy to access. Robin at the front desk was great at check in. She helped make our trip special for our daughter. Thanks Robin. If I had one complaint, it was that we had to pay for parking in the garage. I feel if I book at room here we should at least get one car free during our stay. Otherwise it was great and would definitely stay here again.

The place to stay in WP! Riverside building has better view of mountain. Plenty of places to eat there in village, but everything closes early 8-9 and earlier on Sundays! No private shuttles to get into town. Only 1 Uber dude there. They do have a general bus to take persons into town, but again its a general transit thing.

I wish I had never booked this lodge. I was charged full price because I couldn't get ahold of someone who would help me. Pay attention to the other reivews that reception cannot help with reservations and that someone who can help within the 24 hour cancellation period, will not return voicemails in order to refund money. Despite never stepping into a room, that cost nothing for them to clean, no lights being turned on, they still kept my money instead of refunding me. Simply because they can.

The location is excellent, with true ski-in/ski-out access. The condo is small but adequate for two adults and one child. It was clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped; however, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and felt very old (Feel like 50 years old). My husband and I experienced back pain after the first night and slept poorly throughout my seven-night stay. I would not return unless the mattress is replaced. I stayed in the Slopeside building (Unit 1507).

We had a wonderful stay at Zephyr Mountain Lodge! Our room was beautiful, very clean, and in the perfect location—right at the base and close to everything we needed. It was such a comfortable and convenient place to stay. One thing to note for future guests: this property seems to be made up of individually owned condos managed by a company, so it doesn’t operate quite like a traditional hotel. For example, check-in was done via a lockbox code sent to us, and the front desk didn’t have items like umbrellas available. That said, everything about our stay was smooth and enjoyable. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Zephyr Mountain Lodge to anyone visiting Winter Park!
