The trail is 1 mile with 800 feet climb It gets your heart and respiratory rate up but very double (kids) We had lunch outside and the birds stole our breadcrumbs 😊

This hut was GREAT! Loved the open floor plan and all of the luxurious amenities! It was so nice to have all of us around one table. The hike was short and straight up. Such a beautiful bowl that it sits in and the balcony was nice and big. It was a little different having other people in/out of the area for “day” time use. We had several visitors beyond dark. The beds seemed a bit more comfortable than normal- bedrooms are broken up nicely. One of the best huts I have been to!!

4 guys, 2 days catching up on our 25 year friendship. Broome Hut was the perfect place to relax and chat. It's a fairly easy 1-mile hike in. The kitchen is well-stocked, just bring food and a water filter. We filtered the water from the cistern.

Great place to stop while hiking in the area. There is a day use portion of the lodge that can be used by hikers that are not staying the night. On that portion of the hut there is a very nice pit toilet that is indoors with a light and a large sitting area with a table that can be used for lunch. The hut is honestly more like a mountain cabin. While I have never stayed the night I plan on booking a reservation in the future.

The hike itself was good. I'd say it was moderate difficulty with the incline and uneven terrain/rocks. The hike was .75 miles and climbed 600 feet. The views were amazing towards the top. The only negative thing I can say about the hike was when we went in July, there were huge biting flies and mosquitoes that did not leave us alone for nearly the entire hike. Aside from those pesky flying critters, it was great.
