Wyndham Garden Anchorage Airport

Let me start of saying the puffin inn right now seems better . This hotel has double the traffic they have . Among checking in I had to watch a young man behind the front go clean a room for me just to check me in and I appreciate that so much . He gave me alternatives . Water was out he personally gave me one of his water bottles . I’ll never forget the patience of this young man . He’s a familiar face I think during winter he checked me and my wife in st an other location . When I tried offering a tip he denied he said he feels embarrassed to take it due to the state of this hotel . His name was jelly or something similar of that name . Not just that whilst there was a big incoming of unwanted traffic homeless/druggies . He walked in seen me struggling he went out of his way and served

The staff here were genuinely friendly and helpful, and I appreciated that. Unfortunately, the hotel allows a large number of animals, and it’s clear the building isn’t being cleaned to match that. The halls/room and common areas smelled strongly of animal urine and feces during my stay. Great people working here, but the property really needs tighter cleanliness standards if pets are going to be allowed in such high numbers.

Positive: It's convenient to the airport and walkable to many places to eat. It has a decent complimentary breakfast. Negative: There was a domestic violence/drug situation in the room next to me with screaming, profanity, slamming doors and traffic. Staff was slow to respond and allowed the guests to remain. The noice level went down, but kept up all night.

The room was clean. It was missing the coffee pot. There was no shortage of hot water go the shower. Beds were comfortable. The staff was nice & helpful finding us freezer space. The location was perfect for us going to to/from the airport.

About my stay here: 1. Me and my brother checked in to the hotel. 2. We complained about a stench, the discovery a sock near the bed, and a cup in the shower. The front desk lady stated that she could not accommodate us with another room because they were booked. 3. We went out and came back to the hotel. My brother found what appeared to be blood/urine stains on his bed, a disturbing stain on the couch, and I found hairs on the mattress, of which, we did not complain about until we heard a knock at the door. 4. Three housekeepers entered the room with the accusation of a domestic disturbance. It was a man with glasses and a tattoo on the right side of his face that made the allegation. There was a blonde woman who accompanied him, as well as the supervisor who wound up to be very plea
